Works with secant bulkheads

The bulkhead of secant piles is a series of piles executed at a spacing less than the diameter; the result is a structure where each pile shares a region of intersection with its adjacent one. The series is made up of primary piles and secondary piles alternating with each other; the order of execution, the type of reinforcement and the partialisation during execution derive from this classification.

Positioning and centre-to-centre distance are provided by the guide kerb, structured in such a way as to limit the tolerance to a few millimetres for positioning and an order of magnitude less for the centre-to-centre distance; the guarantee of this result is the use of Marini Ermenegildo S.p.A. metal formworks for the construction of the guide kerb.

Verticality is controlled, both during positioning and execution, directly and constantly by the onboard computer of the DHDS drilling machine that verifies and records in real time the verticality of the drilling with a bi-axial tolerance of 0.3 degrees.

The rigidity of the helix-cladding group, with no intermediate connections, does not allow the slightest bending or deviation of the manoeuvre even at great depths.

Complex geometry in contact with buildings

Reduced vibrations generated during processing and absolute protection of the surrounding ground allow to optimize the space by placing the bulkhead almost in contact with the buildings with the adoption of any geometry, even the most complex, using DHDS poles with a diameter from 400 to 1000 mm.

DHDS Bulkhead Hydraulic Seal

The DHDS secant bulkhead is a set of perfectly aligned piles with no spurs; it has a low permeability index and hydraulic retention is ensured without the use of additional elements such as joints, injectable or not. It is the most suitable workmanship for underground parking lots, artificial tunnels, berms and top-down construction sites, both for the precision of the work and for the low environmental impact in urban contexts.
